It was easy to forget, as we swanned around Paris and tried to get our hands on as much egg and sperm-themed swag as possible, that ESHRE is not only Europe’s largest fertility conference – it’s also an important resource for scientists and clinicians to come together and share their findings.

Yes, there’s a huge expo where all the pharma companies get together and try to draw people in with gimmicks, but actually, the important part is the darkened auditoriums, where scientists share their findings with an audience who can apply what they’ve learned in their work with you, the patients.

Some of the science went over our head. But here are five things we learned that might help you on your jourrrrney.
